Huston was born on the 8th of July 1951, to John Huston and Enrica (a former ballerina) Huston. The family moved in 1953 to California and moved to County Wicklow, Ireland. In the following year, they moved into a rural manor close to County Galway. Huston was able to spend a significant portion of her youth at the manor. Her father was absent for long periods working on film sets. Soma quit him in 1962 and with her kids moved to London. Huston dropped out of school in the year 1968.
